Puy Saint Vincent - Where Liveliness Equals Quietness

At Puy Saint Vincent, it is possible to access over 200 pistes or trails. One ski pass sanctions you to ski and snowboard any of the La Grave, Les Deux Alpes, Serre Chevalier or Briancon ski resorts. Some pistes are above 2500 meters, thereby making skiing and snowboarding conditions (in the snow park) possible for a much longer season.

Puy Saint Vincent is dotted along the Les Ecrins National Park. If you want to escape the bustle of overcrowded ski resorts, then Puy Saint Vincent is still by and large a classified hush-hush among ski vacationers. It's kept its name quiet for some time. The reason for such secrecy is the ski conditions: There are 2 black runs, 12 red runs, 14 blue runs and 6 green runs all easily accessible from Puy Saint Vincent proper.

Moreover, there's 60 km of down hills and an equal number of cross-country trails. With over 15 ski lifts and one going as high as 2750 meters, you'll be speeding all day long. Most of the resort(s) and hotels are around 1400 meters. The hotels are fully equipped, additionally, to handle your young ones as you try out some more challenging run conditions later in the day.

When the kids are ready and primed, there's some great nursery runs for beginners. There are a couple choice ski schools too. Most of the slopes are for the middle-grade. Intermediate skiers and experts alike will have a few days of some good runs. However, there are not enough runs to keep a family of six fully challenged for more than a week at best. Other than the slopes, there's not a lot in the way of apres ski options, save some restaurants and bars where dancing is as rare as a hot day.

Though there may neither be a lot of so-called nightlife nor a lot of drunken foreigners running berserk, the conditions are still perfect for touristy merrymaking. Try paragliding for one. If you like both feet on the ground, then endeavor on a snowshoe trail adventure or a dog sled ride. If you want some flatness to your recess in the mountains, try the outdoor ice skating rink. If four is better than two, then try quad rides or snowmobiling. If climbing ice cascades (waterfalls) gets you higher, there's that too. If you like out-of-door activity running your daily 9-5 schedule amok, then Puy Saint Vincent is the right place. You can rest your weary head in any of the quiet hotels. Here, a day of enjoyment leads to a night of quiet rest.

Puy Saint Vincent ski resort, France is essentially two resorts in one. You'll find a newer resort town built at 1600 meters and the older village at 1400 meters. Last reports said there were seven snow cannons with the ski lifts able to cater to nearly 14,000 skiers and boarders per hour. Though, during the peak holiday season, Saint Vincent, France, is unlikely to see hoards amassing to such an extent. The conditions for those who would like to get away from it all with freedom to wilderness, freedom of crowds and, most importantly, freedom from demand are perfect.

O.B.S. company is currently working on France skiing project, Puy Saint Vincent ski resort. It represents Puy Saint Vincent hotels and possible vacation activities.
